1. Consumes 1 litre/burner/hr of diesel.
2. Has a capacity to cook for 300 people.
3. Manufactured using locally available raw materials.
4. Eliminate use of firewood.
5. Higher heat energy – Calorific values of diesel compared to firewood.
6. Does not expose the cooks to direct heat and flue gases characterized by firewood.
7. The DEFKITCH burns a variety of fuels e.g diesel, kerosene and used oil.
8. The DEFKITCH is suitable for learning institutions, hospitals, hotels, community functions.
9. Waste heat recovery – Incorporation of hot water tank in the chimney assembly.
